Like everything else he did, Bobby Darin's approach to country music was entirely unique. He could deliver a completely traditional reading of a song, or take it in a new and exciting direction. In the case of the Harlan Howard number "Sally Was A Good Old Girl," (from the 1963 Capitol album "You're the Reason I'm Living") he opted for the latter.
